When was the last time you washed your brushes? Clean makeup brushes are essential for a perfected makeup application, clear skin and maintaining brush function. Follow their Five-Step Guide to get the most out of your makeup brushes, because you and your skin deserve the best.
Wet the bristles of your brush under warm water. Try to avoid unnecessarily wetting the ferrule (the metal band between the bristles and the handle). This can damage and loosen the fibers and ferrule over time.
Add a small amount of gentle brush cleanser (of course we love Sigmagic Brushampoo) to the bristles of your brush. Gently swirl the bristles on a textured silicone surface (like the Sigma Brush Cleaning Glove) or in your hand.
Continue to hold the brush downward, place your brush under running water and sweep it back and forth across the rinse texture of your Sigma Brush Cleaning Glove or your hand. Repeat steps two and three until the water runs clear and your brush is completely clean.
Gently squeeze the bristles on your brush with your hand, a microfiber towel or a paper towel to remove excess water.
Dry and reshape your brush heads by placing them in the Sigma Dry 'N Shape Tower. To air-dry brushes, lay them flat on a towel to dry.
